What will I earn as an ESL teacher? English Teachers receive the following benefits:

Earn a minimum of NT$700 per teaching hour or more. You're guaranteed to work 20 hours per week minimum. (Earn approximately NT$60,000 to NT$65,000 or more each month.)

Typical Job Duties of an ESL Teacher in Taiwan

20+ in class teaching hours per week (This is the minimum number of hours you are guaranteed. Most teachers have 22 -26 hours per week.)
Teacher training is also provided and your school will have materials for use during ESL lesson preparation.
In addition to your time spent in the classroom you will administer tests, grade papers and participate in school meetings with your Taiwanese co-teachers.
